Confrontational Beer

Arrogant
Victor Aimi, a Public Relations Manager for Microsoft had ordered wine to go with our dinner but wanted something with a little more bite.
The restaurant, a well-appointed seafood joint on the San Diego waterfront decorated with carefully faked wood pillars offered Arrogant Bastard Ale.
The bottle, almost a foot long, wasted no space in selling the product as a tough beer too strong for pansies used to better advertised ales.
I can't drink anymore, but I poured a little of it into my empty wineglass and let some swirl around my mouth. The liquid was more fruity than Carib, which was always too bitter a beer for me, with a sharp tang to it. I let it run back into the wineglass and savoured an aftertaste that was not unpleasant.
You can read what the company has to say about itself here, and be entertained by a message that's consistent, if not particularly welcoming.
